Plasma Skin Regeneration

1. WHAT IS PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION?

Plasma skin regeneration is the first and only treatment clinically proven to regenerate skin. The unique energy-transferring mechanism initiates regeneration deep below the skin's surface, remodelling the skin's architecture and creating dramatic results that improve over time as the new architecture progressively replaces the old. This treatment allows for the benefits of traditional laser peels without the risks or downtime

2. HOW DOES THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION WORKS?

The Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration uses a plasma of highly excited nitrogen molecules which appear as a purple plume through the exit nozzle. When the plasma hits the skin, energy is released, causing localised and rapid heating of the skin to 1500 degrees C. The controlled thermal damage promotes the formation of new collagen within the skin. This technique preserves the skin's outer layers which act as a protective dressing until new skin regenerates

3. WHAT RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT?

After the Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration, you will see improvements in skin texture, tone, open pores, superficial pigmentation, acne scarring, fine and deep wrinkles and overall skin laxity. Within a couple of weeks of treatment, the skin usually shows an obvious improvement which some patients describe as a glow. Over the course of 6-12 months the skin looks thicker and plumper, with continued improvement of collagen remodelling in the deeper layers of the skin.

4. WHO ARE IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT?

The Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration treats fine and deep wrinkles, open pores, superficial pigmentation, acne scarring and overall skin laxity. It can be safety used to treat the neck, chest and hands

5. WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT?

You may experience a localised sensation of heat during the Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration treatment. A topical anaesthetic cream is usually applied to the skin before the treatment. The skin will feel warm after the treatment and this lasts for a few minutes.

6. WHAT MUST I DO AFTER THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT?

After the Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration, the skin should be kept moisturised during the healing phase. Depending on the level of treatment, your skin may experience redness for 3-5 days followed by fine flaking like mild sunburn. At higher levels of treatment, the outer layer of skin may turn brown and shed 3-5 days after the treatment. Once this occurs, the redness of the regenerated skin will last 2-3 days. On darker skin, the localised redness may appear as a darker spot that lightens over time.

7. IS THE PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT SAFE?

Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration procedure has demonstrated an excellent safety profile in clinical studies. It does not involve intense light radiation as found with ablative laser treatments, which are known to be associated with scarring and often protracted periods of downtime

8. WHAT ARE THE SIDE-EFFECTS AFTER PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION TREATMENT?

The risk and downtime associated with Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration are minimal. For dark skin individual you may have persistent redness or a tan look after the skin heals but this is temporary.

9. ARE THE RESULTS FROM PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION PERMANENT?

One of the most striking and unique advantages of Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration is that it stimulates a natural process of regeneration, producing results that progressively improve over time. New healthier collagen growth will improve contours and enhance your overall appearance. Clinical studies show that this improvement continues for at least one year after treatment

10. WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF PORTRAIT PLASMA SKIN REGENERATION OVER OTHER SKIN RESURFACING TREATMENTS?

The Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration treatment is achieved through controlled heating of the skin architecture. Its unique thermal profile stimulates a significant skin response without creating an open wound like full ablative and fractional procedures. The photo damaged dermal layer is thermally modified while the skin surface remains intact to provide protection and speed healing.
